2012 - Puerto Rico. This year's group consists of Harry, Warren and his girlfriend from Australia Kim, Robert, John, Noel, Ethan, Gwenn, and Ray.
Our first day will be meeting up with Ian and Felipe at Jardines Eneida. We've always made time to stop at this nursery. Cool grafted plants and unbelievable prices. This year, Ian secured us a big tour of the home grounds of the nursery. The late owner's daughter took us all around. Between her, Ian, and Felipe, we all got quite a history lesson about this farm and the late owner Milton. We got to eat as much fruit as we could lay our hands on and later we were allowed to pick out plants not available to the public! Heaven!!

Day 2 takes us to Ian's farm early in the morning. Awesome as ever.
Day 2 afternoon tour was at Felipe's farm.
Day 3 starts us off at Juan Miranda's farm. A little damp out this morning.
Day 3 later that morning. We sort of left Juan's in a hurry. Everyone, including Juan, was heading back to Ian's for a party. Ian had invited some locals to the farm. We not only got another tour to other parts of the farm, but Ian's crew put together quite a feast for us featuring local dishes and dishes showcasing fruit on the farm.
Still day 3! After a wild time at Ian's, we follow Bryan Brunner up to his place.
Day 4. We meet Sadhu at TARS first thing in the morning.
Day 4. It is the afternoon and our last tour of the week is Sherry Ballester's farm. Then it's back to the hotel for our mad scramble to prepare plants, seeds, and cuttings to be shipped home. This busy week has left us very little time to accomplish this. Most of the plants will need bare rooted and that is time consuming when there is only one garden hose at the hotel. We have to finish, clean up, and head to Rincon to meet up with Ian for dinner as is the norm.
